Interpretation

Mahaloka –Sphere of the saints, Plane of brilliance, Plane of sacrifice” (sphere of the saints) is the plane of thoughtlessness. A throw of 6 from cintā, lands the player on Mahaloka. From being enveloped and blinded by thoughts, she is now calm and free with a clear perspective. Those influenced by the “mode of goodness” (uttam gati) are also qualified to land here. The player may have also accelerated here as result of engaging in “dāna” (charity). All these have an inherent feeling of the opening up of the heart. “When in doubt follow your heart”, shows us the path out of cintā and into mahaloka. The anāhata chakra, located at the heart, is the symbol of mahaloka. It is the dwelling place of the emotional self. The sufi tradition also emphasises the need to open up the heart through mohabbat (love). This is where poetry begins, this where the personal transforms to the impersonal. This is also the plane of balance as symbolised by the six pointed star. The triangle of David symbolising the male, balancing the lower pointing triangle, representing the female.
