Interpretation

“Gyāna”Knowledge, Awareness (true awareness / true knowledge) is a realisation that leads to the experience of bliss. A player who lands on this cell discovers reality through insight, practice and knowledge. She is then transported to the highest level of awareness, that of the divine, and experiences the bliss of ānandaloka. Sri Kṛṣṇa, in the Bhagvat Geeta explains –

“By the delusion of the pairs‑of‑opposites arising from desire and aversion, man is plagued from the very birth. But those men of virtuous deeds whose sins have come to an end, who are freed from the delusion of the pairs‑of‑opposites and steadfast in vows, worship Me”.

The player in this cell realises that there are no opposites, as there is no duality. She thus pierces through the different veils of illusion and experiences the inner-most sheath separating her from cosmic consciousness. The sheath of the “ānandamayee kosha”, the sheath of bliss. As a result of this knowledge the player escapes the threats of egotism, negative intellect and inaction and comes within 2 cells of realising the cosmic consciousness. In many vedic systems, gyān is a path to cosmic consciousness.
